Od 2019 r. kwartalnik ukazuje się pod tytułem „Scientific Journal of Polish Naval Academy”.
W czasopiśmie publikowane są oryginalne wyniki naukowe z dziedzin nauk inżynieryjno-technicznych, głównie inżynierii mechanicznej, automatyki, elektroniki i elektrotechniki, inżynierii lądowej i transportu oraz informatyki technicznej i telekomunikacji. Wszystkie artykuły są recenzowane. Procedura recenzowania jest zgodna z zaleceniami Ministerstwa Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego.
Artykuły są publikowane na licencji CC BY 4.0. Każdy artykuł ma nadawany indywidualny cyfrowy identyfikator dokumentu elektronicznego DOI.
Redakcja przeciwdziała nieuczciwym praktykom publikacyjnym zgodnie z wytycznymi Komitetu ds. Etyki Publikacyjnej COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
Wszystkie artykuły są dostępne w Open Access.
Redakcja zwraca uwagę, że dostępność danych badawczych, na podstawie których powstały artykuły, umożliwia weryfikację twierdzeń i ocenę rzetelności wykonanej pracy. Dane badawcze są coraz częściej udostępniane.
Każdy artykuł poddawany jest analizie w systemie antyplagiatowym Similarity Check.
Pierwotną (referencyjną) wersją czasopisma jest wersja online.
Szczegóły dotyczące publikacji, formularze do pobrania oraz opis procedury recenzowania zamieszone są w zakładce „Informacje dla Autorów”.

Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego przyznało AMW środki finansowe na realizację zadania z zakresu działalności upowszechniającej naukę pn. Kwartalnik, Zeszyty Naukowe Akademii Marynarki Wojennej 2013–2014 (wersja on line).
„Scientific Journal of Polish Naval Academy” has been published since 1959. Every year four volumes are published. In this Journal Authors publish their original and previously unpublished scientific articles in the area of technical sciences in English. All the articles contain Polish summaries and key words. All the articles are reviewed by two reviewers. The list of reviewers is published once a year. The Journal has online and printed versions.
In the Journal one can find original scientific articles from technical fields, mainly Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geodesy and Cartography. ‘Scientific Journal of Polish Naval Academy’ is an excellent platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences for scientists and experts. Each new issue of the Journal contains articles which present high quality research results of Polish specialists and is an excellent source of professional knowledge for the recipients.
The editors counteract unfair publication practices in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Our Journal offers review procedure and short deadlines between sending of the article and approval for publication. All articles are available in Open Access.
The editorial board is participating in a growing community of Similarity Check System’s users in order to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy. Similarity Check is a medium that allows for comprehensive manuscripts screening, aimed to eliminate plagiarism and provide a high standard and quality peer-review process.
Reviewers are recommended by the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal in consultation with thematic editors. Independent research workers employed at Polish Naval Academy can be reviewers of articles written only by scientists from other scientific centers.
The review is in writing and concludes with a clearly justified recommendation to publish or reject the article (review form on the next pages).
Reviewers are not allowed to use knowledge about the article prior to its publication.
The list of reviewers in the calendar year is published on the Journal’s website and in the last quarterly issue of the year.
