The Academic Careers Office

The Academic Careers Office of the Polish Naval Academy aims to develop and promote initiatives, attitudes and activities to facilitate students and graduates of higher education. ACO has modern tools and specialized staff to carry out its tasks both in the professional development of students and graduates as well as cooperation with employers.

ACO aims to create a well-functioning connection between the employer and the academy graduate. To achieve this, ACO performs a number of other activities that help the graduate to enter the labor market:

  • ACO provides information on such issues as: recruitment procedures in companies, required competences for individual positions, courses, training to improve qualifications;
  • It promotes job offers both at home and abroad;
  • Builds databases of employers as well as students and graduates, in order to select potential employees with skills and predispositions most suited to the requirements of the employer;
  • Monitors professional activities and achievements of graduates in the labor market, and on the basis of collected data and statistics inform universities about observed tendencies on the labor market and the needs for creating the educational profile required on the market;
  • Organizes meetings of students and graduates with employers, ie conferences, seminars, company presentations at the university, Job Fair;
  • Promote the image of universities in the academic environment and outside it;
  • Promotes the idea of ​​career offices and their appointment at other universities
  • Provides free career counseling and soft competence profiling

Our vocational counselor

As part of career counseling:

- we support students in moving around the labor market;

- we conduct consultations for professional and personal development;

- we help in discovering one's own potential and building a career path;

- we diagnose professional predispositions based on advisory tests;

- we help in the preparation of application documents;

- we prepare for the interview.
