20th Anniversary of joining NATO

On the 12th of March 2019 at 08.00 hrs The Polish Naval Academy society was participating in the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of joining NATO by Poland. In order to underline the importance of that Day, the Polish and NATO flags have been raised and anthem of Poland and NATO "Shape" signal were played. Special order has been announced devoted Polish participation in NATO. At 12.00 hrs. ceremony took place on the Skwer Kościuszki at the City of gdynia. The Navy was represented by commander of the Maritime Operations Centre vice adm. Krzysztof Jaworski, deputy inspector of the Navy rear adm. Krzysztof Zdonek. The Academy was represented by Rector - Commandant rear adm. prof. Tomasz Szubrycht and other guests and delegations

The central ceremonies took place on Saturday the 9th of March in Minsk Mazowiecki with participation of the Minister of Defence Mr. Mariusz Błaszczak

First NATO exercise with participation of the Polish Navy took place on the 13th of March 1999 just one day after joining NATO. Since then, the Navy has been participating in numerous operations and exercises under NATO flag.
