Academy is hosting the training for the European Border and Coast Guard Agency FRONTEX

From the 18th to the 21st of February The Polish Naval Academy and European Border and Coast Guard Agency FRONTEX was organising and hosting the training aimed at coordination of rescue and counterimmigration operations at sea. The participants were representing border and coast guard agencies of the following countries: Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Italy, Ltvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Spain. Additional goals of the training were preparing the officers to participate in FRONTEX operations in the Med Sea, unification of ops procedure, sharing best practicies related to the joint activities also in the context of mixed crews of patrol vesels of EU member states deployed to the Med Sea.

It is worth reminding that in September 2018 Rector - Commandant of the Academy has signed agreement with FRONTEX on joining FRONTEX Partnership Academies Network. The training is one of the forms of cooperation between Academy and Frontex
