From the 11th to 14th of September the Qatari Coast Guard cadets studying at the Academy were exercising boarding teams tactics supported by the Polish Border Guard. According to the Education Programme and acceptance presented by the Commandant of the Polish Border Guard, joint training took place at the Kaszubski Squadron of the Border Guard (Gdańsk Westerplatte). During exercises the following elements were trained: personal id documents, selfdefence, using TASER and baton, arresting a person, risk analysis, searching a ship. The scenarios presented as realistic as possible situations, as well as different level of their complications allowing to test the skills of trainees. As aditional element of the training, the participants from Qatar and Poland were cooperating in mixed boarding teams and developing skills of cooperation in the international environment.
